HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – On March 24, PSAV and The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa hosted the Boys & Girls Club of Hilton Head Island Gala. PSAV provided the lighting, video production, projection and staging.
With just an hour before the event doors opened, the PSAV team was tasked with lighting the Infiniti cars that were to be auctioned off to create a showcase-feel. The team used wireless Color Charge LED lights and successfully placed them in and around the cars. After the event, attendee and New River Auto Mall Marketing and Advertising Manager Jill Jaunch approached the team and asked if PSAV would provide the same lighting for a local network of 17 dealerships.
“I was extremely pleased that I had these LED lights to use at my disposal,” said Director of Event Technology Gabriel Struna. “As a result of this, the team and I were able to create something that the client and attendees absolutely loved.”
In addition to the lighting, the client decided to take the event to another level and asked PSAV to provide rear projection for the first time ever in the Boys & Girls Club of the Lowcountry’s 12 years of throwing the event.
“Not only did it serve the purpose of making sure my guests could see and hear no matter where they were seated, but it also added a wow-effect to the stage,” said Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry Special Events Director Elizabeth Vallino. “It truly looked like a production.”
Following the event, the team received praise from the attendees and client.
“Overall, it was a spectacular event and I have heard nothing but rave reviews from the attendees,” said Vallino. “My committee has already rebooked for next year’s event and we hope to make next year even bigger and better than this one.”
