LONDON—In mid March, PSAV supported a week long show for one of the world’s largest law firms at the Grosvenor House here. After being a partner with PSAV for more than ten years, this was the first time the law firm decided to hold its annual flagship meeting overseas.
Although the Grosvenor House already supplies an in-house AV company, the client ultimately chose to stick with PSAV as its partner, which shows the strength of the existing relationship between the client and PSAV.
To bring this show to fruition on time, a successful collaboration was required between the teams in the U.S. and in Europe. Timing was a major challenge with the first details being provided only four weeks prior to the show date. In addition, the seven-hour time difference between California and London allowed only a limited time per day for the teams to plan.
PSAV Senior Account Manager Terry Broadbent, Divisional VP of Hotel Services Chris Howard, Managing Director of Europe Stephan Earl, Account Executive Simon Sharratt, Project Managers Adam Trout and Steven Harbertson, Senior Sales Manager Cedric Kalin and Director of Event Technology Ramesh Rao all teamed up and worked through odd hours to create a seamless event.
PSAV provided a 70-foot by 12-foot flown projection screen, six Christie HD18K projectors, three live camera feeds, a high-spec audio system, full lighting rig with 30 moving heads and a plethora of technology for two large ballrooms.
Among the 600 attendees included former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair.
The show was a great success and within a few hours following the event, the client declared it to be the best blended screen they had ever seen.
